Andrzej Wróblewski Foundation

Andrzej Wróblewski Foundation was established in February 2012 by the artist’s daughter – Marta Wróblewska, granddaughter – Krystyna Łysik, Wojciech Grzybała and Magdalena Ziółkowska. Our mission is to propagate and contextualize knowledge about Wróblewski’s life and work. We provide academic and organizational support to cultural institutions, scholars, curators, artists and anyone interested in researching Wróblewski’s figure. We also provide conservation care over artworks remaining in the hands of public institutions, heirs and in private collections, we initiate and arrange research projects, and exhibitions, as well as publish, collect, develop and share archival materials. Our most important projects include: the exhibition Constantly Looking Ahead at the National Museum in Krakow September 21, 2012 – January 13, 2013) and the bilingual monograph “Avoiding Intermediary States. Andrzej Wróblewski (1927–1957)” (Warsaw – Ostfieldern 2014) co-published together with the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Hatje Cantz publishing house. We are currently working on a catalogue raisonne of Wróblewski’s works on paper.
